WEDNESDAY: JUNE 25, 2008

We were able to visit the schools where we will be volunteering at over the next few weeks. It was so wonderful to meet the kids! They were so open and kind...they made us feel very welcome!!

MONDAY: JUNE 23, 2008

On Monday morning, I awoke on the plane to the sunrise.

It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

My trip to South Africa began on Friday afternoon heading to the train station to travel from Providence to Washington, DC. I then took a plane to Qatar for 12 hours or so ... and then got on another plane to Cape Town. We arrived on Monday morning!!!!

Welcome!

I am very excited to share my South African Adventure with you! I will be in Africa for two months this summer while I have the amazing opportunity to teach. I am very excited about all of the wonderful things I hope to teach the children, but I am even more excited about all of things I hope to LEARN!!

I hope you will be able to share this amazing adventure with me!
